malformalady: The Avanos hair museum situated in Cappadocia, Turkey. The museum is located in a small cave, underneath a pottery shop and contains hair samples, names and addresses from more than 16,000 women from scross the globe. The museum was founded by Chez Galip some 30 years ago, when one of his friends cut a piece of her hair as a parting gift when moving away. Since then, women who visited him and heard the story, gave him a piece of their hair and their address. Throughout the years, he has amassed an impressive collection of over 16,000 differently colored locks of hair, from women all around the world. Photo credit: Tim McEuen
